Greg Brown enters his third season in 2008-09 as the head women's swimming coach at Siena College. The 2002 Lycoming College graduate brings nearly eight years of coaching experience to Siena's program.

Under Brown's guidance, the Saints completed one of the most decorated seasons in program history during the 2007-08 campaign. Siena posted a 9-4 overall meet record and won five of its six MAAC meets. In addition, Brown led the Saints to a sixth place finish at the MAAC Championships, the programs highest finish since the 2004 championship meet.

In addition, Brown mentored freshman Brittany Pavolko who as a freshman was named MAAC Swimmer of the Week twice during the year, doubling the programs all-time total. Six school and three pool records also fell by the wayside in 2007-08. The six school records were the most accomplished by the Saints in a single season. Additionally, five Saints placed on the MAAC All-Academic Team

Under Brown's guidance, the Saints posted a 3-6 record during his first season in 2006-07 and finished in seventh place at the MAAC Championships. The Saints did however win three of their final four meets to conclude the regular season.

The Saints also placed three members on the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2006-07 and had Samantha Coratti garner MAAC Women's Swimmer of the Week Accolades in early November.

Upon his graduation from Lycoming, Brown served as an assistant coach the University of Vermont during the 2002-2003 season. He assisted in all aspects of the program, focusing on team development and recruiting.

In the fall of 2002, Brown also took over as the head swimming coach at the Greater Burlington YMCA. He oversaw a team that consisted of upwards of 75 swimmers during the fall/winter season. He qualified a record 10 swimmers for the 2005 YMCA Long Course Championship. At the meet, six of those were named YMCA All-Americans.

Brown also helped swimmers from Greater Burlington qualify for the YMCA National Meet in the spring and summer of 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Additionally, Brown served as the head swim coach for both Burlington Country Club (2003-2004) and Quarry Hill Club (2005) in their summer recreation programs which competed in the Champlain Valley Stream League.

As an undergraduate history major at Lycoming, Brown was a four-year letterman in swimming. He was the team captain in 2002 and the Coaches Award/Team MVP in 2001. He was a five-time Middle Atlantic silver medalist and two-time bronze medalist.

A Mechanicsburg, Pa. native, Brown currently resides in nearby Troy, N.Y.
