Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena women's golfer Katelynn Mannix was named MAAC Women's Golfer of the Month for the month of April by league officials. It marks the second straight Golfer of the Month award for the Plattsburgh, N.Y. native who also captured the award for the month of March.

Mannix competed in three events in the month of April, leading the Saints to some solid scores. At the Hoya Women's Invitational hosted by Georgetown March 31-April 1, Mannix shot rounds of 84, 82 and 84 to place in the top half of the field.

Then at the Columbia Roar-EE Invitational April 11-12, she again finished in the top half, rebounding from a tough first round to finish with rounds of 87 and 83 respectively.

In her final tune up before the MAAC Championships, Mannix saved her best of the last, placing third individually earlier this week at the Bowling Green State Falcon Invitational. Mannix had her best three round score of the spring (236) in firing rounds of 77, 78 and 81.

Mannix and the Saints return to action today as they look to defend their crown at the MAAC Championships in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
